Why Should You Hire Tibor

You meet hundreds of professionals — but not all of them can bridge creativity, technology, and real results.

Here are three reasons why I believe I’d be a great fit for Compass Media.

Reason #1:

I’m an expert in web portals

I’ve built and managed several portal-style websites — from vendor networks to online ticketing platforms.

Over the years, I’ve learned how to structure complex sites that connect users, advertisers, and content seamlessly.

When we talk about web developers, the difference is often about languages, frameworks, or design styles.

But there’s a deeper layer — the type of projects they’ve mastered.

Some developers focus on single-purpose or portfolio sites.

Others — like me — specialize in dynamic portals, where the content, users, and ads change daily.

This kind of work requires strategic thinking, reliable data structure, and long-term maintenance discipline

not just visual design.

I discovered my passion for portals years ago, when I created Wedding Card, a vendor network that grew to 25 partners.

It started as a small idea but quickly became a local success — giving me daily challenges and huge motivation.

That’s why I feel such a strong connection with Compass Media — your websites are true portals,

built on living frameworks that power news, advertising, and digital interaction.

That’s exactly the kind of environment where I thrive.

The Concept behind the wedding card:

Free membership, no obligations — couples could instantly access a 10% discount at 25 local wedding vendors.

For many couples, that often meant thousands in savings during wedding planning.

Keeping the card free and open was always part of its success.

It taught me an important lesson about long-term portal sustainability — users love value and freedom,

but real profit and stability come from advertising partnerships and ongoing engagement.

I worked on The Wedding Card for four years, building strong partnerships with 25 vendors and evolving the platform into a full wedding planning portal — including online tools and a yearly exhibition booth.

CayFilm – Cayman International Film Festival

CayFilm was my next major portal project — a WordPress-based platform that supported one of the island’s most celebrated events.

I managed the website and all its digital needs for three years, during which we hosted three highly successful festivals in Grand Cayman.

The platform served as an online ticketing and scheduling hub, covering multiple venues such as the Ritz-Carlton, Harquail Theatre, Camana Bay Cinema, and Kimpton Seafire — sometimes with simultaneous screenings.

I collaborated closely with Tony Mark, the festival’s founder and Emmy Award winner, translating his creative vision into a fully functional digital experience.

I designed the structure, managed partner listings and sponsor logos, and maintained the site’s performance throughout each event cycle.

It was a true end-to-end portal experience — where creativity met logistics, and real-time updates were critical to success.

Working on CayFilm deepened my love for building digital ecosystems that connect audiences, content, and brands.

Reason #2:

I combine design and technology fluently

Adobe Creative Tools

I’ve worked with Adobe Creative Suite since CS1 — from Photoshop and Illustrator to Premiere Pro and After Effects.

I still maintain an active Creative Cloud subscription, using it daily for video editing, motion graphics, and marketing visuals.

Photography

Over the years, I’ve collaborated with talented photographers and videomakers, learning how to tell visual stories that connect emotionally.

I also have hands-on experience with photo editing, color correction, and canvas printing, bringing creative ideas into tangible form.

Cloud-Based Solutions

In recent years, I’ve expanded into cloud technologies, building and managing business systems using Odoo apps and Azure.

This gives me a full-spectrum view — from creative content to technical infrastructure — a combination that fits perfectly with Compass Media’s digital evolution.

From Concept to Code

My background blends creative marketing with hands-on development.

I code in HTML/CSS, understand CMS architecture, and love designing user experiences that feel modern and intuitive.

Reason #3:

I’m growing with the cloud and the future

I’m Microsoft Azure certified (AZ-900) and currently pursuing AZ-104. I believe that cloud technology and AI will shape the next wave of Cayman’s media industry — and I want to help Compass Media lead that change. My technical curiosity keeps me learning and improving every day.

Thank you for taking the time to review my work and experience.

I genuinely believe Compass Media and I share the same vision — combining creativity, technology, and local impact.

I’d love the opportunity to contribute that energy and help build the next generation of digital platforms in Cayman.
